We brought Maisy home on November 5 and I have been on her twice - both times on the same day. We have been so busy with work and fixing our home after a flood issue, that time has been at a premium lately.

She was quite anxious as we walked around the pasture in small circles, but I am sure it didn't help with me being so nervous about being on a new pony and the other 3 ponies screaming their heads off from the other field.

My arms are about as stiff as her neck is in these photos...

Maisy tried to soften a bit, but I was too nervous to soften my hands.
Then Maisy decided not to go forward and this happened:

It was more of a frustrated rear than aggressive rear. But we did a lot more small circles after this little rear.

Maybe things will slow down after the holidays and we can try again.

Until next time - Happy Riding!
