How We Spent New Year's Day

Happy 2010!!

It is so hard to believe we are embarking on 2010. As so many of my friends have said, it seems like we were just preparing for Y2K. That was yesterday, wasn't it?

Well, for New Year's Day, hubby and the kids built a neat tepee. They built a similar one back in 2008 and decided it was time to do it again.

This poor lizard was struggling to cross an old bale of straw. I think he was extremely cold...so I picked him up and put him in the sun. Poor fellow - I think the cat got his tail.

From our family to yours, we hope 2010 proves to be a wonderful, blessed year for everyone.

Hopefully I'll have a barn update soon...no progress since well before Christmas. Hubby's friend is supposed to come over tomorrow to work on the last set of doors. Keep your fingers crossed!
